Bridal Makeup
Hi, my name is Aimée Hicks and I have been a mobile makeup artist in and around Birmingham, West Midlands for over 18 years.
Your makeup can be either traditional or airbrush. This can be discussed at time of booking. The trial is essential to ensure your makeup is exactly how you want it, where your skin type and makeup look will be discussed. Adjustments will be made to ensure it is perfect for your day. The trial will if possible be conducted in daylight to mimic your wedding day.
The makeup trial lasts 1-2 hours and is usually conducted 6-8 weeks before your wedding day, whenever suits you. This is when you are likely to know your dress colour, accessories and hair style. All will help decide your makeup.
I will come to your home or wedding venue on your wedding day as planned in and around Birmingham, West Midlands. The bridesmaids and mother of the bride’s makeup will be applied first, each taking 40 minutes.

Airbrush makeup
Traditional makeup is rubbed into your skin, whereas airbrushing sprays a fine mist resulting in the makeup sitting evenly on your skin.
Airbrush makeup benefits include ultra-sheer, flawless coverage with even skin tone. It makes skin tones so perfect even the Hollywood high definition cameras can’t ‘pick it up’. Airbrush is used on celebrities including Jennifer Aniston and fashion models everyday. Airbrush makeup lasts over 12 hours without smearing, running, fading or caking. So no need for any touch ups during the day. It is Lanolin and alcohol free, where airbrush makeup will cover red areas, brown spots, blemishes or scars. It is good for covering acne, scarring, blotchy skin, rosacea, broken veins and capillaries and bruising.
Airbrush makeup covers the skin in a light, fine mist of tiny dots, allowing the natural skin tone to show through. This gives a far more natural look that you hardly feel. Your skin is able to breathe through the light veil of airbrush makeup which in turn is much better for your skin.
Airbrush makeup: add £10 to costs given.
A deposit of £20 is required to secure the date. On the trial day the trial balance plus 50% of the wedding day cost are required, both non-refundable. A minimum £5 mileage charge applies to travel outside of the Birmingham, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield and Walsall areas.
